Disney drops Narnia
First off, I was so excited when I finished editing a video of my lil bro drunk. I got on YouTube and then I saw some new videos uploaded by some of my subcriptions. Then I saw GPuddle's new video with this title: "Disney Leaves Narnia".
At first, I thought this is just some sick joke. I mean, Disney can't leave Narnia. No! The chronicles certainly doesn't end there! But when I played his video with his face all gloom and blue, I couldn't hear him talk anymore. It already showed on his face that he wasn't joking at all.
I proceeded to check NarniaWeb.com if ever a topic like this was already posted up in the forums. And it sure was. I couldn't even click on the link of the news because I was so so SAD! I froze! My heart skipped too many beats and I was out of breath. Everything was too deafening.
After finishing my Christmas Fettuccini with my family, I decided to click on the link. If you're interested too, here it is: link.
Boy oh boy. Disney sure does know how to spoil Christmas.

Merry Christmas, Everyone!
I sing a song for you! Err, it's not a Christmas song though. It is a very wonderful song about reminiscing--something to remember the year by. It's "The Call" by Regina Spektor. It's actually a soundtrack from the movie "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian".
I tried to make it look fit for the season though. I wore an elf hat and put some effects on the video. You can check out the video here to rate and comment: link.
Have fun and enjoy the holidays! Ima be with my family and my hounds! Weeeee! I feel complete!

The Shallow Wife
I just wanna make this entry real quick as my hounds are waiting for their dinner to be served.
Tonight, my (future) stepdad's bestfriend came. He actually tagged along with my parents for tonight's dinner. Since they haven't seen each other for a while, they had a few drinks and had dinner with us. My lil bro Lex baked the Lapu-Lapu fish we had in the freezer, cooked more rice, preheated the frozen viands, etc etc etc! In other words, we were busy preparing.
Then we had dinner. The rice was almost done and my stepdad mentioned that someone's gonna catch up so I told my lil bro to cook more rice. My stepdad's bestfriend then said we don't have to now cuz his wife only eats a little cuz she's maintaining her figure. But you know us Filipinos, hospitality is one of our best traits. My lil bro proceeded to cook more rice anyway.
After we had dinner, my stepdad's bestfriend's wife came. Me and my lil bro didn't get out of the house to meet her as she was my parents' visitor. We figured that she'd be more comfortable with their presence than ours.
As time went by (while waiting for my hounds' dinner to cool off), I fiddled on my guitar while lying on the couch. I heard a noise from the bathroom. I figured that'll be the wife. Then I heard Mojo barked. I thought that maybe she got out already.
I tried shushing Mojo from my spot just to make the visitor calm down a bit. A Basset bark is one of the most startling and scariest things you'll ever hear in your life most especially if you're not used to be around with dogs. Then I saw her pass by. Our eyes met and eventhough I was lying down on the couch, I gave her a smile just to make her feel comfortable. The smile was not returned as she just stared at me and continued to walk back to their table.
That was a bit odd. So I tried forgetting about it thinking that maybe she's a bit shy or something. A smile unreturned has many possibilities for a cause of it. I simply don't want to judge. So I just let this one be.
After a while, my mum called out to me and told me to stay at their table for a while to protect their food and drinks from a stray cat. I figured that the visitors are gonna go home and that my parents will walk them to the guardhouse. So I went out and sat there and locked my eyes on the chips.
Then I heard her talk. "Oh, is this your child?"
My mum replied, "Yes, she's my eldest."
Sarcastically (and unknowingly for my part), she commented, "Oh you guys aren't that huge, huh? Maybe cuz you guys have a lot to eat? We don't have much food in our home."
My eyes just went wide. I couldn't believe how a visitor can become conceited and shallow right in our very home!
I replied, "Well it's grace from God, why should we refuse it?"
I dunno what was drawn on her face after that, but I swear I so wanna badmouth her more. I wasn't even getting started yet!
When my parents returned home, that's when I found out that this person was totally disliked at all while they were drinking earlier. LOLOL! She underestimated everything! Our house, my mum, my stepdad's chocolates--everything!!!
You now begin to wonder how has she become married to this man who is the best friend of my stepdad. Then we thought that maybe she isn't so happy after all. She simply envied how my stepdad found my mum and how everything else in our home simply works just as fine as it is.
My mum even guessed that maybe that person has some hidden feelings for my stepdad. ROFL! Isn't she supposed to be older and be more mature?
Now I wonder if she was sitting on her logic and maturity all her life that she couldn't tell how happy we are and how miserable she is.

Weeeee~! #5
MOJO IS BAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His tail isn't curved down between his legs anymore. It's still down but not "curved down". More like a "normal taildown". You know what I mean. Ehehehe!
Anywayz, remember the vet's first diagnosis of him? Oversex? Yesh yesh, lemme just say it that this part of the diagnosis is half true. It does somewhat contribute to Mojo's weakness because he knew Pazzy's heat and he still wasn't recovered from his UTI. The veins kinda clogged or something that made him go weak and lose weight dramatically.
So now 4 antibiotics are ready for him till it runs out. I already scheduled my vet to neuter him next year.
I'm just so happy that he's back. I made my hounds bark so loud tonight that I feel so much alive! Hearing them all with their deep baying voices jumping onto me with their tails wagging, I felt so much happiness that I got teary-eyed. I feel so blest and alive and happy.
Now, the pack is complete again. I thank God for my 5 angels--my hounds.

Vlog #2: Reading Narnia
My video description from YouTube:
I am reading an excerpt of "Chapter 13: An Unexpected Meeting" from "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician's Nephew"
This is the chapter where the White Witch tempted the child Digory (Professor Kirke of LWW) to disobey Aslan and take the apple to his sick mother.
This vlog is dedicated to Mojo, my 6-year-old basset hound who is now admitted to the vet's clinic. I used to read him excerpts from "The Magician's Nephew" (my fave book from all of the 7 Narnia books) and he would just sit beside me and fall asleep with his head on my lap.
note:
*i added video effects on this one to have that "feel of storytelling" which i dunno if i have achieved that.
*the background music while i was reading the excerpt was actually from my Winamp playlist and not edited to be in this clip at all.
*i encountered a few mistakes while reading this because I got carried away by the story which got me kinda lost in between the words.
*i am TERRIBLY sorry for doing british accents once in a while on this reading. i get all mixed up and i end up imagining characters in my head who speak in British accents. Again, I got carried away.
*i've done several recordings for this reading, this is the best I could come up with. sigh...
But alas, pls enjoy! rate and comment if u will!

Vet Diagnosis: Too Much Sex
I did a little research on the possibilities of the symptoms Mojo displayed. His energy level is not the same anymore but his energy is still there. He can barely sit down in an instant. He rarely barks. His appetite is still the same, but he hasn't gained weight at wall (last visit to the weighing scale for his UTI diagnosis was 20 kilos. Yes, I know. A big dramatic change from 28).
I then thought that it's not the UTI again because this was really different to me, and all of this happened around 2-3 days after Pazzy's heat season. My mum kidded me when she said that he must be "oversexed". I don't even know if there is such a word!
So we went there and Mojo is shaking. He knew the place. He hated clinics. So I comforted him for a while as I talked to the vet about what has been going on. She then said that maybe his "lockball" is stuck somewhere in the vacant canal part between the anus and the testicles. I was like "Whaaaaaaaaaat???"
My mum laughed cuz she was actually kinda right in the start, but it was still a diagnosis and it can change after doing some lab tests. Leaving my Mojo there again aches my heart. He knew the place and he was scared of it now.
So I will just have to wait for a text from the vet of whatever she finds wrong in Mojo. I do hope they cure him now.
I plan to neuter him next year BTW. I already scheduled his vet for it.
Get well soon, Mojo!
====================================================================
*This just in! Mojo has an infection. He's back to antibiotics again. Sigh... Guess the "oversex" diagnosis is false after all.

Narnia: The Petition
What is the Petition?
Narnia: The Petition is a chance for Narnia-lovers' voices to be heard. Though C.S. Lewis's timeless classics are treasured by many both young and old around the world, there are still those who dislike Narnia for their own reasons. For some, the Petition is a way to let the world know how much Narnia is loved.
For others, it's a way to further enhance their love of Narnia and support it.
Why be loyal?
When you become a loyal Narnian, you are saying that you love, support, respect, and cherish Narnia. As a loyal Narnian on the Petition website, you'll add one more number to our Loyal Count above, get your Narnian name and location featured on our Loyal Count above until the next recruit comes along, plus be able to download a special Loyal Narnian certificate.Become Loyal!
As for me? Well...
By the power of Aslan the Lion, Lacrymosa the Hag of Lanternwaste has been officially added to Aslan's Book of Loyal Narnians.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeee~!!! I am now a Hag! Don't get me wrong, I am a hag for Narnia and for Aslan!
Me & My Crazy Ships
Okay, "Ships" are mostly the most famous trend nowadays which means as "love team" in the case for Filipinos. I didn't really understand what "ship" means in the Hollywood entertainment department till I got crazy over Susan and Caspian from the "Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian".
So I eventually learned what ship means while browsing and surfing and reading over many of fan fictions about Susan and Caspian. Then I got back in touch with my old shipping that never went into climax: Lestat and Jesse from the movie "Queen of the Damned". And like the Caspian/Susan ship, I have collected pictures, videos and fanarts from Lestat/Jesse ship as well and read countless fan fictions of them myself.
Then, I got a new ship to be stupidly crazy about: the Zac/Nikki ship. Seriously, I feel stupid and ecstatic at the same time over this ship. Zac Efron and Nikki Blonsky are stars from the movie "Hairspray" where the ship started. In the movie, their characters live happily ever after and in love. In real life, these 2 are just FRIENDS! Really. Their RL stories seem more like a movie verse. Zac got Vanessa Hudgens and Nikki got Ben Lyons (I dunno if they are still together, but I know Zac and Vanessa break up and make up too often). So yeah. I got me Susan/Caspian, Lestat/Jesse and Zac/Nikki ships. Off I go to read more fan fictions then. LOL!

I Was Gonna Be A Vampire
Have you seen the movie "Queen of the Damned"? Well if you haven't, lemme show you a trailer.
Well, the movie is actually darker and more interesting than the trailer. This was released years ago and when I saw it, I loved it--eventhough it resembles only a little from Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles. The story here (movieverse) is that Lestat is an ancient vampire awakened in our modern times from his 200-year sleep and became a rockstar! He fell in love with a mortal named Jesse who is actually from Talamasca (an agency that does paranormal research and observation). But before he set his eyes on her, he had enchanted and awakened a powerful force way back--Akasha, queen of all damned. When he became a rockstar, he had awakened her and the rest of the ancient vampires has to stop her reign of chaos.
Pretty exciting. Now what does that have to do with my post's title now? I'm gettin' there.
I just had the strangest dream of all. No, I didn't dream of being Jesse, but I dreamt of being another prospect vampire for Lestat and Marius. They visited me every night while my mother was away and sick (I think the "sick mother" part is from reading "The Magician's Nephew" of "The Chronicles of Narnia") and that they wanted to help me but I will have to be sure on the choices I make because living forever is not as easy as it sounds. And that until I am sure, they can cure my mother but I will have to leave her.
I wanted to be a vampire and join their company, but since they wanted me to be "sure sure" they let me see and experience the way of a vampire. We went to a lot of places and traveled to many different markets and towns. Then one day I told them that I am now sure to become one of them, but I will have to call my mum and tell her that Ima be away for a while so that she will not worry too much.
They then agreed and I went to search for any phone booths in the town we're in at that moment. They followed me and even tried helping me to find one. When we found one, it was broken. I even tried fixing it while they waited up for me.
But then, I woke up. The dream was so vivid that it's been 2 hours since I dreamt it and I still remember it. I can't say it was a nightmare. It's a good dream. What if I become a vampire? Wow. I think it's pretty cool. Just thinking of it now makes me devilishly happy.

TO ALL NARNIA FANATICS: Is RD Human?
I face the ultimate dillema.
Warning: Spoilers Ahead!
(Check bottom of post for the meaning of acronyms)
This is what happens when I think too much of the Susan/Caspian ship movieverse and the fate that lies beyond for the new King Caspian X and his dashing bride-to-be who is the nameless daughter of a star Ramandu. After all, it is what is written in the books.
So I stared at the bathroom mirror for so long and feeling depressed about it. I then thought of how awful it is after that little romance between Susan and Caspian in the PC movie and then Caspian setting sail to the utter east with a mission in VDT and incidentally finds the last island where Ramandu and his daughter resides. And he will marry RD and she will be Queen of Narnia.
"Queen of Narnia?" This is where the debate begins.
Now for all we know in the CoN, only humans can rule over Narnia. King Frank and Queen Nellie (Helen) were the first royalties in the MN and they have made descendants of their own. Then the Pevensie's came in LWW restoring peace and order after a Hundred-Year Winter was cast all over Narnia by the half-giant quarter-djinn quarter-human self-proclaimed queen White Witch Jadis of Charn. Jadis's ruling was not of Aslan's blessing and she isn't even full human, which was one of the primary reasons why she isn't fit to be a queen (other reasons include being evil) in the eyes of the Narnians and Aslan.
Is RD human?
There is little that we know of RD except that she's nameless, a daughter of a star, lives in the island of World's End with his father and soon becomes Queen of Narnia by capturing Caspian's heart.
By marrying Caspian, she instantly becomes Queen of Narnia--but is she valid to become one? We don't really know about her mother, but we do know that RD's a half-star. So what if the VDT movie production will then reveal that she's half-star half-human showing her mother to the big screen for proof, does she still seem to fit to become Queen of Narnia (eventhough Jadis fails being one in LWW) just because she married a human with royal blood but she isn't full human herself?
I've checked the BBC version of VDT and checked (and rechecked) in the CoN VDT book to see anything at all that cannot nullify RD's "queenship" over Narnia. Nothing.
So what if RD is not human at all, does that mean that Prince Rilian in SC and the rest of CX and RD descendants are not valid to become kings and queens of Narnia just because of it?
It causes a whole ruckus and a very weird "domino effect" if my questions and doubts remain real.
After all, nymphs and stars are not human. But what if Ramandu explains that when he came back on land he becomes human and stuff like that, could that also mean that RD is either full human or not? Is there even a story behind Ramandu's "resting" that involves transforming into human form?
I am sleepy (1 AM here) and confused. Can anyone justify my observation? I still could be wrong.

Vlog #1: Hairspray Movie and Prince Caspian DvD
So I have decided to finally make a video blog! Sit back and enjoy.

Whatta Surprise~!
Yes, folks! I have been blessed with "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" 2-Disc Collector's Edition DvD and "The Chronicles of Narnia" 7 books compiled into one by my very VERY very thoughtful mother. I have never EVER imagined to possess myself with treasures such as these in time for the Christmas season. No, no, no. I haven't really, but I have been looking and thinking and planning onto myself to experience Narnia in paper next year. Yes, I planned to own these by next year and NOT TODAY!
My mum was in Manila for the Manager's Conference in ABS-CBN (Broadcasting Corporation) when she called me 2 nights ago to check up on me and on my lil bro Lex and on the house and on my hounds. It was a pretty casual talk of a mother and daughter could have when I finally told my mum this: "Mum, can you check if the Prince Caspian DvD is out there?"
Really, that was just it. Then last night, she called me checking on me again and informing me of her arrival later. That was the time I asked her if she bought me the DvD of PC. She replied to me saying that she's gonna tell me later with less enthusiasm in her voice. I expected her to say to me that she hasn't found any but she said she's gonna tell me later what happened.
I didn't really understand why she told me that when she can tell me that she hasn't found it. So, I didn't expect anything at all.
They came home by midnight and I asked her what really happened. She then pulled something out of her bag and showed me a book of CoN that has compiled the 7 books into one! I literally screamed for 2 minutes in the middle of the night, seriously. I didn't care about the time. I didn't care about the neighbors. I got CoN book and the PC DvD for Christmas! Waaaaaa! I jumped and screamed for 2 minutes and my family laughed at my expression. I was dumbfounded and euphoric! What did you expect? LOL!
I am such a Narnia freak. LOL! I just love Narnia! Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

The Chronicles of Narnia VS Harry Potter
I knew that it would come to this! I just can't help it! I didn't really wanna post something like this but I've been rambling all these thoughts in my head and I just had to surf my way into the internet for back-up knowledge. I don't wanna be posting something while unarmed--especially when the topic is composed of 2 great books and movies!
No! No! No! Stop me!
*Breathes deeply...*
I really just can't help it. Okay, here I go.
This all started when my good friend Oje became obsessed with Harry Potter in high school. And I'm like I was one of those who kept asking "Harry what?". Really, it doesn't really ring a bell. All that magic doesn't seem to send all the way through me. None! I appreciated them though. I've seen classmates bringing Tolkien's books to school while I ramble on with my Fushigi Yuugi anime craze and my secret love for Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles. So yeah, no Harry Potter for me.
Then my mum bought us an original VCD copy of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" which I kinda like because it is darker than the rest of its sequels. I think I watched it for many times already with no reason at all. I wasn't being like a fangirl when watched this movie. It's just because I felt like seeing the movie over and over again. I wasn't forced, neither was I manipulated nor charmed. It's just interesting. That's just about it.
Let us rewind a bit. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe came out in 2005. Me and my friends were still in our LOTR craze when this movie came out and seeing the trailer was really not that interesting. I didn't know anything about it and I remained loyal to LOTR.
Okay, fast forward to 3 years later. Narnia and Harry Potter have 2 films this year. Prince Caspian of Narnia and the Half-Blood Prince of Harry Potter. Both films feature children and in worlds imagined by authors themselves who happened to have 7 books in their respected series as well. These are some of the common things the films/books share.
All that while, I remained loyal to LOTR. Maybe not as a fangirl but as a moviebuff. It's got greater story and greater effects. I never read Rowling's books about LOTR. I didn't know that these books existed till Hollywood makes adaptations of it.
Then my mum bought an original VCD copy of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe". Honestly, I fell asleep in the midst of watching it. I was bored! I didn't understand anything at all because I was still loyal to LOTR.
Until my lil bro Lex convinced me to watch "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" when I didn't really want to watch it. So I did and find Ben Barnes becoming a huge star (I first saw him in "Stardust") in his role as Prince Caspian. And by the end of the movie, that was when I knew that I am going to be a Narnia fan.
So then I learned that C.S. Lewis wrote the CoN and that his stepson Douglas Gresham actually co-produced all of the Narnia films by Disney and Walden Media. Eventually, I learned a whole lot more than this post could handle!
So I went back to our VCD collection and watched LWW again with the eyes of a child. To my surprise, I became into it.
I guess you'd probably guess where this is going. Yes, I prefer CoN than HP. I kinda got sick of seeing people say that "I like HP movies, but Narnia stories aren't that bad", like they're drawing some sort of "Peace Line" to avoid confrontation or misjudgement. Really, now. But then again, these 2 series aren't really supposed to be compared to as both are written differently in various scales and reasons.
So uhh, Ima just link you to one article that says it all: LINK
Oh BTW, this comparison thingy with CoN and HP started when I saw videos on YT comparing Anna Popplewell and Emma Watson. That's where it all started.
Sorry HP fans, I'm old school and CoN is one classic not to miss. I can live without HP, but CoN saved me.

Hairspray VS High School Musical
Okay, I am not dissing any of these movies just because the title is trying to imply that idea. No no no no. My mum just bought an original DvD copy of the movie "Hairspray" directed and choreographed by Adam Shankman (who happened to be one of the choreographers of the movie "Step Up 2 The Streets") and I was shocked to see Zac Efron in it.Now I know that this young actor is famous for the "High School Musical" movies. I mean, he's got great eyes. That was just about it. Seeing him in "Hairspray" was really a shock. Okay, so maybe I watched this movie too late (a year late), but seeing him in this film was just so--perfect!
I love "Hairspray" because maybe it's about a plus-size girl and I can kinda relate to the main character? I think so.
And seeing Zac Efron playing the character as Link Larkin who eventually falls in love with Tracy Turnblad (the main character of the movie played by Nikki Blonsky) is way way better than seeing Zac Efron as Troy Bolton of the "High School Musical" movies falling in love with Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens). For real.
Both movies are musicals, so that's one thing in common with them. Second thing is Zac Efron. Those are the things I know of for now. LOL!
But between the two personally? I'd give "Hairspray" an applause worthy of my personal top movies list (which you will know very soon). Great cast too BTW.
So uhh--I'm sorry to HSM fans? Tee Hee!

TRESSLA!
It's been like months already since I subscribed to Matt Koval's channel on YouTube which has very interesting topics for his vlogs. The first vid that I watched from him was entitled "Dog Park Phenomenon" which discusses how transformed he is when he is with his dog or even around dogs, much worse when displayed it on a park where strangers come up to any dog owner (that happens a lot based on my experience). It was funny and sensible that I subscribed.
His new vlog is about Catch Phrases of the old and new. And he even made a new catch phrase: TRESSLA! For more info, check out the video here with the official meaning of Tressla.
Wanna watch the video right now? Okay, here:

Mojo Grrr's Jane
After having Mojo back from the vet some days ago, he hurriedly jumped on Pazzy and got his mojo on. So we decided to stop his medication and wait till Pazzy's heat season is over.
Now a problem arises, Mojo's overprotective of Pazzy. He doesn't want the puppies Juno and Paulie to be touching her. And the weird thing is? He treats Jane the same as well!
Just a glimpse of her sends him to "Grrr"! I told Jane that maybe because you're in heat as well and he wants to jump on you too! LOL!
She always spends time with Pazzy whenever she comes to visit. Maybe that's why? For now, red lights all the way for Jane between her and Mojo and Pazzy.
So sorry, Jane! You'll get your time after the season, I guess. LOL!
