So Cameron finally released his box office hit "Avatar" and a lot of people had watched it, but include me to the list who hasn't. LOL!
When I saw the movie posters, I was just disgusted of Cameron actually naming the film as such. Sure it was a good story (as I presumed it is on the trailer), but can't he name it anything else other than "AVATAR"? Come on, the word itself doesn't even show it's meaning in the film (search on the Dictionary and you'll see that the word "Avatar" means "Incarnation").
When M. Night Shyamalan announced that he will make a live action movie out of Nickelodeon's Emmy Award winning series "Avatar: The Last Airbender", James Cameron had already bought the rights to the name "Avatar" for his film. Now, Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender" will be shown on July 2nd this year. A TV spot ad at the Superbowl 2010 was aired last February 7.
I've shown the trailer to my friends and they all said the same thing--WOW. They knew this was the movie remake of the series and that this is the REAL Avatar movie they've been waiting for.
LOL! Now it's like James Cameron set up a fake show to ATLA (Avatar: the Last Airbender) fans out there just so his movie can climb to box office. Maybe he's not intending it to be, but he should've just renamed his film and receive a much more precise and original acclaim than having it now compared to the series.
Sure he had his "Avatar" 10 years in the making just so he can perfectly portray the story with effects present in our age of technology today, but Nickelodeon obviously portrayed a much better picture for the word "AVATAR" and Shyamalan could've owned the name if he just noticed how it is now in comparison to the series. It's like as if your work were outdone. Ouch.
I don't know if I should pity him or be mad at him for his insensitivity, but when I saw how he acted at TMZ (LOL! I'm not an avid watcher of that show but I was just at the right place and at the right time), It's plain to see how disgusting he is.
I have now rewatched "The Last Airbender" movie trailer over and over again that I still get chills up my spine whenever I watch it. The bending of elements were of superb effects, the lighting and cinematography was clearly astonishing, and I've seen APPA~! LMAO~! I can't wait for the full trailer.
Allow me to show you what the REAL Avatar is--with no blue people included:

1 got somethin' to say...:
The film Titanic redeemed itself when they let Jack Dawson drown ("Jack, I will never let go...") Still, Cameron doers have a gift for making spectacular films. I will wait to see Avatar. Maybe I will find it aas exciting as the hype.`
