Quick Nap

He was there sitting by the dining area waiting for me to come out from my room. I saw his eyes beaming with gentleness and I responded it with a smile. My father was watching TV and he gave me a "godfather-like" look--always his chin up and his one leg above the other leg's knee. I glared at him angrily and went ahead to my visitor.

We were laughing and talking at the corner of the dining table when suddenly the atmosphere changed when I asked him why he had come. He didn't answer and rest his head on the glass surface of the table. I laid out my left arm, rested my head there, turned my face towards him and whispered, "Did you miss me?"

He turned his face to me and I saw his sincere eyes as he nodded and said, "Yes." He then clenched my hand and I started to talk in whisper, but since he couldn't hear it very well (the TV was really loud), he shifted his weight and moved his ear closer to my lips. And like as if that wasn't enough, he moved even closer that he was already resting too in my arm and my lips had already touched his nape as I continued whispering gently. We finally touched by the corner of our dining table and my whole body shivered and a big wave of chill overwhelmed me. It was at that moment how I still love him after all these years and after all that heartache he gave me.

His visit was over and so I walked him to his destination while my hand clutched onto the cellphone. All throughout the walk I lowered my head and spoke so gently and listened to him attentively. It was like I felt my old self bloom again like that time when we first met.

It was a long walk and I noticed that we were already climbing stairs and passing hallways. We were already at his school. And just before I could speak up, we already arrived at his classroom and a few students were already there.

"I guess I'll see you around then," I said to him as he took his seat near the door. He nodded with a smile and I hesitantly turned around to leave. I wondered if I should return the phone in my hand but I don't remember if it was mine or not. Suddenly he called out my name and I quickly turned.

"My cell?" He said as he reached out his hand to me. I smiled instantly and gave back his mobile phone which I now recognized not mine.

"Thanks," he added and just when he started walking back to his classroom I heard him mumble, "Gotta text Angel."

I quickly ran home and looked for my charger since I remembered that my phone was dead. My kid brother woke up from my frantic noise as he had fallen asleep on the couch again.

"I'm all gooey," I told him and I proceeded to find my charger when I noticed a noise right outside the windows. I peeked and saw cats rounding up the food in some used wheel tire. I tried to shoo them away but they purred violently. Suddenly, they turned their attention to me and started to climb the window where I'm at. They scratched and purred with great hostility that they soon were able to invade our home.

My body shook and before I knew it, it was all but a dream. I fell asleep at my computer desk again.

*The guy who visited me is my ex-boyfriend--the one who dumped me and caused me so much depression that I became an alcoholic and my parents exiled me to many places after finding out. We broke up 6 years ago already so this dream was very weird.
