LOL! Thanks, Keith. Although I don't think that's awesome. It's simply fighting for what you know is right, especially when you stand on solid ground--in this case, I know more about our mayor as a Davaoeño than those who are not.

With regards to the issue, the sheriff didn't file any case against her, but the DILG (Department of Interior and Local Government) is investigating this issue. Pfft. As what our mayor said, she is prepared to face them. Her strength is very inspiring. There are not many women like her. I wish I could be strong as her too. Yay! *wishful thinking*

I can never bring my standards of culture, politics, interpersonal relations, public relations, governance, or personal dignity into play in any person's world without accepting that there are not universal rules of rightness on any of it. What matters is how your mayor's constituency perceived her actions. And, of course, the decision (or ability) of the sheriff to take legal action against her, if he has the right, and would want to proceed down such sa path.

Even then, the silliness remains in the hearts of others to try to judge this event, absent the context of the feelings of the Davao citizens, the rights of the mayor, and the decisions made by ther sheriff that could have stopped all this from happening.

I barely feel qualified to judge what I see happening in my own city. Perhaps some people just love having opinions. One woman told me in Cag. de Oro City in 2004 that sher thought Arnold Schwarzenegger will be a good governor for California. I was angered by her ridiculous opinion. He finally left office with extremely low approval ratings, and I know not to be quick to look in another man's backyard

I love Gary Oldman too! Even Amanda Seyfried is one respectable actress from my point of view, but the fact that the movie looks "Twilighted" because of the said director, I become very skeptic.

I applaud you for hating Twilight!
But I will not judge a movie by its director. I have been impressed with most Gary Oldman movies since the 1980s (Sid and Nancy, which I watched in the Camera Three cinema)

So, for now, I will accept this trailer will draw more ticket sales frome hundreds of thousands of young movie watchers. I remain hopeful that likewise it is a good movie.

Seriously, listening to skeptical podcasts, reading some science literature, I have decided that all this emphasis on ancient herbal cures, and magical applications of chemistry is spooky. Working in a healthy food store I hear more ridiculous ideas on maintinng health.

I also remember going into the pharmacy in SM mall, and seeing the back wall lined with monoxidil (for hair loss). Vanity drives all humanity.

Slumdog Millionaire wowed to intensely also. I had the chance to watch the movie just last night, and perhaps, i also had the same reaction as with the others. I couldn't believe how good the movie is... it is something i couldn't get over so soon. Really.

People should watch it cos it is very inspiring.
